As contested environments become the norm, adversaries increasingly challenge positioning, sensing, and communications infrastructure. Autonomous systems must operate reliably, understand their environment, and execute missions with precision. Reliable autonomy is now an operational requirement.
Resilient Autonomy for
Contested Environments
Swan enables autonomous systems to operate, understand their environment, and execute missions in contested environments. Running directly on individual assets, it delivers navigation, sensing, mapping, and precision-targeting capabilities that can be fielded independently or together.
01
Autonomous navigation that enables systems to operate when GPS or GNSS signals are degraded, denied, or unavailable.
Maintains navigation continuity in contested electromagnetic environments.
Uses onboard sensing and autonomy instead of external positioning signals.
Reliable autonomy is now an operational requirement.
02
Environment understanding and map generation that enable autonomous systems to interpret their surroundings using onboard sensing.
Builds local maps from onboard sensor data.
Detects signals, objects and structures in the environment.
Creates navigation priors that support autonomous movement.
03
Precision targeting that enables autonomous systems to execute missions with precision using autonomy and environment understanding.
Supports precise aimpoint selection.
Accepts targeting inputs from multiple sources.
Enables precision effector guidance.
We are led by a team of world-class autonomy engineers and mission-tested defense veterans.
Dima Kislovskiy is Swan’s co-founder and CEO. He was most recently VP of Trucking at Aurora (NASDAQ: AUR) where he served as the general manager of Aurora’s self-driving trucking product. Prior to Aurora, Dima oversaw technical program management for Uber’s self-driving car product.
He previously co-founded a venture-backed driving safety startup specializing in ADAS for power-efficient computer vision systems.
Dima began his career in finance, where he was a quantitative trader leading a team developing algorithmic order execution systems for a $500M AUM CTA hedge fund. Dima holds a degree in Operations Research from Columbia University and is an inventor on 15 patents.
Narek Melik Barkhudarov is Swan’s co-founder and CTO. He was most recently Senior Director of Software Engineering at Aurora (NASDAQ: AUR) where he oversaw the self-driving mapping and navigation teams.
Prior to Aurora, Narek led multiple engineering teams at Uber’s self-driving car division, spanning onboard object detection and tracking, as well as offboard mapping components.
Prior to Uber, he worked as a robotics engineer at the National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) where he contributed to multiple prototype robotics systems for defense and industry clients.
Narek holds graduate computer science and robotics degrees from Technical University of Munich and Carnegie Mellon University and is an inventor on 5 patents.
